Consultations
& Check-ups

We are happy to see all our patients for consultations and health checks, no matter how small the concern may seem. We offer same day consultations as well as advance bookings.

Integrative Medicine

With integrative medicine, modern diagnostics meet gentle, natural therapies - whether it's Western Herbal Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, nutrition, or supportive supplements. Whatever approach fits your pet's needs and your family's values we're here to work with you.

Routine & Advanced
Dental Care

Dental health affects the entire body. We perform dental procedures daily, and offer year-round complimentary dental checks for your pet with our veterinarians.

Acupuncture

We offer acupuncture treatment for inflammation and musculoskeletal conditions in areas such as the knee joint (including ruptured cruciate ligaments), hips, neck, and back (including disc disease).

House Calls

If you would prefer we are always happy to schedule house calls throughout our day to benefit both you and your little (or big!) one.

Behaviour Management

We take a multifaceted approach to behaviour management with our patients, just as we would with our own mental health.

Vaccinations & Microchipping

We vaccinate, microchip, and dispense parasite prevention medication and tailor an individual program for your pet’s needs.

Desexing Surgeries

We desex male and female dogs, cats, rabbits, and male rats. Desexing your pet can be beneficial for their mental and physical health.

Emergency Care

We are associated with NEVS, the Northside Emergency Vet Services team, should you have a problem out of hours.

Ultrasound

When diagnostic tests matter most, our onsite ultrasound quickly uncovers answers - so you and your pet don't wait for peace of mind.

Surgery

Our veterinarians are experienced in routine & emergency surgical procedures. We also have a specialist surgeon perform more complicated procedures on site on a regular basis, such as advanced orthopaedic surgeries like TPLOs for cruciate ligament disease.

Radiology

With our state of the art digital radiology (x-ray) unit, we can gain invaluable diagnostic information at any time and interpret it in real time.

Titre Testing

As part of our customised vaccination programs, we offer titre testing for the core vaccine viruses for dogs and cats.

Greyhound Medicine

We treat many Greyhounds at AVH and understand their unique breed requirements. We have been working with Greyhounds adopted through the GAP program for many years.

Cat Grooming

We clip many of our feline patients during the warmer months to help them manage the heat and assist their owners in finding paralysis ticks.
